90 in 90
Did the concept of "90 meetings in 90 days" come from AA or the rehab industry?
We don't know where the idea started but it seems obvious enough that it didn't come from AA's literature or its traditional practices.
We don't know of any AA literature that calls for going to a certain number of meetings in early sobriety. The traditional focus in AA has been on the spiritual awakening - not on meetings per se (though this may be a means to that end for some people).
Our knowledge on the subject is lacking so any feedback on where and how the emphasis on "90 in 90" began would be welcomed and appreciated.
