Two-Stepping

What does "Two-Stepping" refer to?
Two-Stepping commonly refers to people who make a habit of doing only Steps 1 and 12 while skipping the intervening 10. It is not a term typically found in AA literature but one used as slang among AA members.

Two-Stepping is typically used a derogatory term for people who admit to being an alcoholic and finishing Step One who then proceed directly to Step Twelve often pretending to have done all of the steps.

Sometime the term is also used to refer to people who do Step One and Step Two (or just Step 1) between repeated drinking episodes.
